Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about your concerns, your medical and personal history, and what you would like to achieve from care.

I may also do a physical examination.  This helps me create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

The first session is more detailed and usually lasts between 1–2 hours.

  • Not necessarily. Medication is just one possible part of care.

My approach also includes supportive therapy techniques, cognitive behavioral techniques), lifestyle recommendations, dietary guidance, and psychoeducation.

If medication becomes a recommended option, I will explain it clearly, discuss potential benefits and risks, and we’ll make decisions together based on what feels safe, appropriate, and aligned with your goals.

  • Yes. I incorporate supportive therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques into treatment. Many clients benefit from a combination of therapy and, when appropriate, medication.

  • Currently, I primarily see adults. However, in some cases I also support children and adolescents, particularly where specialized services may not be readily available.

For complex or highly specialized needs, I may collaborate with or recommend referral to a child & adolescent psychiatrist or a multidisciplinary team.
